The Manu Samoa 7s team won the Cape Town 7s Leg of the HSBC 7s 2022/23 Tournament, after defeating the New Zealand team 12-7 in the championship match in December 2022. Samoa IBFC has committed to supporting the Manu Samoa 7s Team as they continue to excel in the HSBC 7S 2022/23 season. For many years, SIFA has been a continuous sponsor of the Manu Samoa 7s, and as the squad prepares for upcoming competitions, SIFA has secured the Naming Rights Sponsorship for the team.
The Manu Samoa 7s Team is currently ranked third out of the 16 teams participating in the ongoing HSBC 7s tournament, which started in November 2022 and will last through May 2023. The Team consists of local athletes who have pledged to represent Samoa. We commend the players and the Management, and look forward to a successful HSBC 7s 2022/23 Campaign.
